Our names are Elizabeth and Peyton Bullen. We live in Smyrna, TN (suburb of Nashville) and serve and worship at LifePoint Church. In February 2011 while on a mission in Haiti, we met a 3 year old orphaned boy who had been temporarily living with a missionary family while a new children’s home was being established. A short time later we started the process of adopting him and bringing him home to Tennessee. It has been a long and grueling 4 years so far. Thank you for your support!
About Mathieu: Our new son’s name is Mathieu Gabriel. He is a sweet and affectionate little boy with a heart as big as they come. He loves caring for and protecting babies! His mother died while he was still young, and his father was unable to care for him. Mathieu was entrusted with a family member who physically abused him. Mathieu moved a few times and then permanently moved to the Chadasha Foundation children’s home where he now lives with 10 other children.
About Peyton: I grew up in a small town, Wetumpka, Alabama. I’m the Director Fire Prevention Programs and Policy for the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office. I work with the State of Tennessee to reduce life and property loss due to fire. I enjoy helping people and giving back to my community. I also serve in the small group and discipleship ministries at LifePoint Church.
About Elizabeth: I am the Director of Marketing and Team Services at Environmental 360. I market our environmental consulting services and help our team members in whatever way necessary. I have always had a passion for the Colorguard in the marching band since I participated in high school and at Auburn University. I am honored to be able to be the Colorguard Instructor at Stewarts Creek High School here in Smyrna. I enjoy teaching the girls Colorguard but also about how to be confident, respectable young women. I am very involved with our church, LifePoint where I lead a group of high school girls on Wednesday nights and an adult small group with Peyton.
